Today we’re diving into the latest update for Satisfactory—version 1.0. This new release is packed with astonishing features, from the revelation of the Samore secret to the revamped use of Somers Loops and Mercer Spheres. Buckle up as we explore the game’s new story elements and groundbreaking changes without spoiling the plot.
Let’s start with the revamped Hub—it's received quite the makeover! Among the notable additions is an interactive toilet where you can throw objects. It’s a quirky touch that adds charm to the game. The Hub now includes various Easter eggs, a microwave, and, most impressively, character customization options. You can tweak your mask, build gun suit, and more. This new level of personalization adds a lot to the gameplay experience.
The map now sports a stunning new design, complete with a research microwave and a fresh tech tree focused on alien technology. Additionally, there’s a host of new decorative elements, including various wall colors such as Chrome, Copper, Gold, and Carbon Steel. You can also customize your factory’s appearance to be matte, default, or shiny. New fences, buildables, and colorful pipes enhance the visual appeal of your factory.
The Mark 6 belt now has an impressive capacity of 1,200 items per minute and is see-through, adding both functionality and aesthetics. With a fully overclocked Mark II miner, you can extract ores more efficiently. The update also introduces additional resource nodes, though some have been removed or altered. This means more resources to work with and new strategies to explore.
One of the most exciting additions is the Quantum Encoder, which produces synthetic power shards. Crafting these shards is no small feat, requiring rare items like time crystals and dark matter crystals. The new recipes and machines, including the AI Expansion Server and Superos Oscillator, add layers of complexity to the game. Drones now support a variety of fuels, including batteries, turbo fuel, and the newly introduced ionized fuel. This fuel type is the best in the game but also highly expensive. Despite this, tractors remain versatile and can utilize almost any fuel.
The Converter is arguably one of the greatest new buildings. It allows you to transform raw resources into valuable materials, such as uranium. While this process is power-intensive and complex, it opens up new possibilities for resource management. You can turn limestone into uranium through a detailed conversion chain, though it's resource-heavy and costly.
The Alien Power Augmentor is another standout feature, offering a way to significantly boost your power supply. It can enhance your circuit’s output by up to 10%, making it a valuable addition to any energy setup. However, it’s essential to use Somers Loops wisely, as they can double your output but also increase power consumption drastically.
The update introduces several new power sources and fuels, including fixoni fuel rods, which offer a way to manage nuclear waste effectively. These rods allow for a closed-loop nuclear power system, eliminating waste and providing substantial energy. The process to create these rods is intricate and involves multiple steps, including dealing with radioactive byproducts.
One of the most anticipated features is the addition of blueprint designers. With the Mark I, II, and III blueprint designers, you can now create and manage blueprints with ease, making construction and factory management more streamlined. The new 6x6 grid in the Mark III designer greatly expands your design possibilities.
Satisfactory 1.0 has introduced a host of exciting features and improvements. From enhanced customization and new decorative options to revolutionary machines and power solutions, the game has evolved significantly. The new blueprint designers will make factory management more efficient, and the advanced power options offer new strategies for energy production.
