This guide covers the Wind Burst enchantment in Minecraft 1.21 — what it is, the mace it pairs with, and how to apply it. By the end you'll know how to wield Wind Burst and crush enemies with high-impact aerial attacks.
Supported Platforms
What Is the Mace?
The mace introduces a fresh, tactical way to fight. Its signature smash attack rewards altitude — the higher you fall before landing the hit, the more damage you deal. Master the weapon and its high-flying attack and you'll crush enemies with unparalleled force.
Items to Enchant with Wind Burst
You can only apply Wind Burst to the Mace, obtained from the new dungeon. No other weapon supports the enchantment.
Applying Wind Burst
Once Wind Burst is available, apply it to your mace using the Enchantment Table:
Select Your Item
Choose the mace you wish to enchant.
Access the Enchantment Table
Stand in front of the Enchantment Table and interact with it to open the enchantment interface.
Insert Lapis Lazuli and Experience Levels
Place the required amount of Lapis Lazuli in the slot and spend the experience levels needed to enchant your item.
Select Wind Burst
If Wind Burst appears as an available option, select it and confirm the enchantment. Your mace will now launch you upward on a successful smash attack — chain hits from the air for devastating combos.
